The Morabeza Hotel has a great reputation and is synonymous with the development of tourism on Sal. The Hotel began as a winter holiday home constructed by a wealthy Belgian couple in the late 1960s. However, demand from SAA flight crews for a place to stay during their stopovers led the family to construct additional accommodation during the early seventies.
Thanks to its prime location (on the beach in Santa Maria) and steady demand, it has developed into today's four-star 140 room Hotel.

The hotel offers comfortable-furnished rooms, most of which have direct access to the beach.

The Morabeza has three restaurants; the beach club grill for lunch is in a great position, the Les Palmiers restaurant for dinner and the Tortue bar for an aperitif or drinks.
There is also a disco, where you can enjoy Cape Verdean Music and Dance.

The Hotel is still family-run (now third-generation) and promises its famous Morabeza welcome (Morabeza is a creole word for good hospitality).
