With all of the turmoil in global credit markets, has the property market in Cape Verde been badly affected?
Have the prices come down at all (as they have in Spain)?

I have been reading about property in Cape Verde and I am planning on going out later this year to have a look for myself. In the meantime, I have a few questions that maybe someone can help me with.

Has anyone bought property in Cape Verde or been over to look at property?

Having been looking online, I have seen things much more pricey than I had expected, but assumed that is because I'm probably looking in the wrong place.

Was wondering if anyone on this forum has been involved in the purchase process - or perhaps lives out there and could give me a few pointers etc?

Thank you in advance. (It always helps to ask someone in the know) :) :) :)

"Many British nationals have experienced serious problems when buying property in Cape Verde. Before buying property anywhere on the islands, you should seek independent qualified legal advice."

As you say kitty, lots of things to read up on, as from the looks of it, people have entered into property purchases without really knowing enough and have had problems (possibly loosing a decent amount of money.)

It pays to be prepared :)
